About

A lil' about me,

A picture of me and my baby pup Rugby

My name is Ashley Webster, I'm in my twenties, I live in Canada and I’m blogging in order to keep a record and my opinion of the books I read, that way when someone asks me, "Have you read this book? Do you like it?" I can be like "Dude, it's in my blog."  I have always enjoyed reading, but my love for it has been rekindled when my dad surprised me with a Kobo Vox for x-mas.  Much to my surprise I LOVED it. And with that, so began my adventures in reading. Mostly the books are taken out of the library but a handful of them are the free books offered at kobo.com (who ever said free isn't good??) - for Kindle readers most of these books are also offered for free on amazon.com or you could join me and go pay a visit to the mythical building you may have heard of called a Library. So if you are cheap, like me, I'd advise you to do the same.

Right now my book collection at home consists of about 20 random books from various author's (I'll get into later), all the Twilight books, and about 20-30 Dean Koontz books (that were my dad's/mine/sister's).  My favourite genre's for reading are horror/thriller/suspense/and super natural, aka the majority of YA/Koontz books out right now.  I would also like to read comedic books but I haven't really stumbled upon a good author for that.

Dean Koontz has been my favourite author for a long time, I've read about 90% of his books and most of them are spectacular and captivating page turner's. But now with my Kobo I'm stretching my little feelers out and seeing what else is out there, and believe me the supply of author's and genre's is endless.  While I have fallen in line with popular culture reading the series of Harry Potter (amazing! if you haven't read it yet, please just leave right now and go read them, it would make us both very happy), Twilight, Da Vinci Code, and House of Night. I hope though I can find more obscure author's that people may not have considered or heard of and get people to give them a chance.  You never know when you're missing out on a great read, :).

Though the blog shall be mainly about books I plan on putting more into it. Perhaps a random fact page like: did you know male platypi have a poisionous stinger on their foot? or check out this awesome youtube video I found!
Perhaps recipes and maybe even some tutorials or some of my life experiences. I would like to share my knowledge with the world, so perhaps one day when some poor person is googling "how many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon? " -it's 3 1/2 btw, and anyone who gets this joke koodos!- they are led here and I help them. Sharing is caring you know, :).

Now some food for thought:

If I'm the only that reads my blog does that mean I'm talking to myself? hmmmm
